The new α NEX-5 and NEX-3 deliver interchangeable lens creative freedom and SLR class image quality in a stylish, ultra-compact package.

Choose from dedicated E-mount lens for wide-angle, standard zoom, high power zoom shooting, and optional ultra-wide angle and fisheye converters. Plus, an optional mount adaptor lets you use the full range of Sony α system A-mount lens, including the digital SLR lens lineup.

With a 14.2 megapixel Exmor™ APS HD CMOS sensor, similar in size to Sony's APS-C DSLR sensor, the NEX-5 and NEX-3 offer exceptional rich colour and tonal gradation. Offering the added flexibility of interchangeable lens, the NEX-5 and NEX-3 deliver uncompromising still-photo and movie image quality.

Effortless Panoramic Shot

It's simple to take a stunning panoramic image with 3D Sweep Panorama. Just activate the Sweep Panorama mode, then move your camera in a smooth horizontal or vertical arc, while pressing the shutter button. And with BRAVIA HDTV 3D imaging support*, you'll enjoy another dimension of shooting and viewing pleasure.

True HD Movie Recording

The NEX-5 and NEX-3 are Sony's first interchangeable lens cameras to offer movie recording. Both cameras support HD movie recording in MP4 format, so it's convenient to post clips on blogs or video-sharing websites. And the NEX-5 goes a step further, achieving beautiful videos in 1920X1080 Full HD AVCHD format.

Intuitive User Interface

The NEX-5 and NEX-3 feature an easy-to-use control wheel and soft keys, letting you control the camera quickly and intuitively. Pressing and rotating the control wheel lets you access shooting, drive, and flash modes, as well as exposure compensation and other camera settings.
